My Violin Journey

The violin stole my heart when I was 14 years old. I fell head over heels in love with the instrument and spent the next 8 years in passionate study. Thanks to my musical background of 10 years with the piano, I was able to progress rapidly on the violin. Within one year, I became the concertmaster for my local Youth Orchestra. Two years following, I won the Young Artist Competition and performed the Haydn Violin Concerto with our Community Orchestra. In addition to my private studies, I also spent two summers at the MasterWorks Music Festival in Indiana. Shortly after, I was accepted as a student at the University of Puget Sound where I studied Music Education.

With over 14 years of studio teaching experience, I’ve built my studio from the ground up in 3 different locations and gained invaluable knowledge in studio policies and practices. I’ve studied with more than a dozen private teachers myself, substitute taught for my peers, and actively studied the studios of others. I built my current studio from 0 to 30 students in one year.

What can I do for you?
